2018 Goal Setting

1/01/2018

Business

It’s that time loves… we are starting to set our goals for 2018 and I could honestly not be more excited!!! I LOVE setting goals… thinking about the future, what I’m going to accomplish, and how I’m going to get there… it might as well be Christmas again (ok… I took it a bit too far)… but you get the idea 😉

For my goals, I use a method different than the norm… I write them down, but I categorize them into the 6 categories below:

  1. HEALTH
  2. HOME
  3. FAMILY
  4. FINANCE
  5. CAREER
  6. TRAVEL

Then under each category, I include 10 things I want to accomplish in said category. My mom taught me this method, and it’s much easier for me to stay organized and on top of them as opposed to just writing a list. But here’s the beauty, as you check these goals off throughout the year… you’ll eventually notice one “category” gets taken care of quicker than others…. cause you are just rockin’ that category! Which means you get to work on the other categories… I like to think of it like Jeopardy (minus the daily double).

Also, and this might be repetitive for you natural goal setters out there, but I try to keep my goals in-line with the SMART methodology…

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Realistic
  • Timely

The more specific they are the easier they are to pave the way to success! Happy 2018 my loves… below is a link to download my goal setting template… hope this helps 🙂
